What is the IRCC?

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) offers a range of services to welcome those wishing to settle in Canada. They are the department that grants Canadian citizenship as well as giving travel documents such as visas and passports. IRCC programmes aim to support Canada’s Immigration Levels Plan by providing pathways for over 430,000 new immigrants each year.

How will IELTS benefit my immigration application?

To gain a Canadian visa, you will need to prove your ability to communicate in English to the IRCC. IELTS is one of the world’s most popular English language proficiency tests, with millions of tests taken every year. You can use IELTS scores to demonstrate your language ability and support your visa application.

Immigration programs in Canada: What’s available through the IRCC?

IRCC offers a broad range of pathways and options for immigrating to Canada. Express Entry is the quickest pathway which follows a point-based grading system to decide eligibility. It uses what is known as the Comprehensive Ranking System to score individuals on language, education, work experience, age, job offer and adaptability.
